I received this product 2 days ago and it doesn't have retinol as it says on the Amazon page. When I received the creme the info concerning the ingredients it says: Petrolarum, Aqua, Lanolin, Mineral Oil, Paraffin, Beeswax, Magnesium Stearate and Palmitate Retinyl (not retinol).

Retinyl palmitate is an earlier form of retinol, it does not have the same effects. Instead, retinyl palmitate can be effective in boosting collagen fiber production in your skin, which can help you look younger. However, retinyl palmitate does not have the same exfoliating effects as retinol.

However both retinol and retinyl palmitate are forms of vitamin A. Retinyl palmitate is an ester -- or chemical compound -- formed from the reaction of retinol and palmitic acid. In order to use any form of topical vitamin A, the body must convert it first into retinoic acid. Retinyl palmitate must be broken down into retinol, then retinaldehyde and finally retinoic acid.

Really good cream, even settles down eczema round the eyes with no stinging. Can't comment on the anti-ageing but it definitely leaves skin soft and glowing.
