Smoky Eyes in Seconds, 10 May 2017
I love the Real Techniques range and their brushes are always good quality. The brush I usually use for smudging was too big for the undereye area and it was difficult to get close to the lash line, a trick which always helps create a more youthful look. These brushes are the ideal size. If you aren't a make up aficionado there is a short video on the Real Techniques website with a short tutorial demonstrating how to use the brushes to get a quick and easy smoky eye look using an eye pencil.My only quibble is that I would prefer the bigger brush (for the upper lashline) to be slightly fluffier but you still achieve a sultry eye with little effort. The sharpener is okay and it's always handy to have a spare.

This brand of makeup brush is my absolute favourite. They are affordable but such good quality.These brushes are the perfect tool to have for a smoky eye. They make smudgy looks really easy to create and give you loads of control so that things don’t get messy. They make my eyeshadow look really nice, which is amazing for me as my skills aren’t great!They don't scratch my eyelids or lose any hair when I am using them. I can't argue with the price of this set as it is very reasonable for the quality that comes with them. I would love to try more from this brand in the future. There aren't enough affordable makeup brushes on the market but these are making up for that

I am no expert when it comes to make-up, eye or otherwise and for me a smudgy look is the only one I can achieve without too much effort. The duo of brushes are well made, with bristles firmly clamped in place so no amount of pulling dislodges any. They are soft against the skin in use and the duo allow for a fairly precise or diffuse degree of smudge (if there can be much of a difference in my case) thanks to their differing sizes. They are packaged in a lozenge-shaped container, which makes them simple to gift with the added bonus of a small sharpener included in the pack (at this time).
