Great for thick, curly hair!, 5 Mar. 2013

I have thick curly hair and I used to use the Redken curl cream to get rid of the frizz that comes with having curly hair. I was really disappointed when Redken discontinued it but I gave this a go and I actually prefer it. The cream was great, but you had to use a lot of it. This is more of a soft paste (not sticky) and you only need to use a little, so the bottle lasts much longer. The packaging is really attractive- the blue swirl is the actual curl cream. I think it looks really nice. The best thing about this new curl cream is that you can put it in your hair when it is dry- so if your hair is a little frizzy in between washing, a little of this goes a long way without leaving your hair greasy or crunchy.

nothing like fresh curls refiner, 19 Nov. 2012

I was told by my salon that this product was the replacement for the redken fresh curls refiner that was recently and sadly, discontinued.Optimistically, I decided to try it in hope that it would actually be just as good or even better! Unfortunately, I was left very disappointed. It was nothing like the refiner - the best thing about the refiner was that it was a cream, not a gel and it didn't leave my hair feeling "crunchy". This new product did not seem to hold the curls at all and managed to leave my hair feeling dry, crunchy AND sticky. I have tried to use varying amounts on various occasions. If you have fine hair like me, wavy and a bit curly with a tendency for fluff/frizz - I would avoid this product. My hunt for a decent curl cream continues!

The manufacturers state that it will give the user the best of both worlds with its formula that combines a balance of cream and serum with their patented Curl Memory Complex that includes sugar crystals, Moringa oil and UV filter to seal in moisture and definition while locking out humidity for frizz control and shiny hair. The manufacturer recommends it for daily use; apply a small amount to damp hair and work through from root to tip focusing on frizz and dry ends. Diffuse or air dry; can also be used on dry hair for added control on ends; store in a cool, dry place.
