There's lots of great straighteners on the market, so what do I really love about these?

First, they look great, lovely lilac colour and with a really smart looking storage pouch which is also heat-resistant.

Secondly, heats up really quickly, just 15 seconds. By the time you've sprayed your heat defence spray and styling product through your hair, the straighteners are ready to go.

Thirdly, the plates. They're longer than average and infused with Macadamia oil, the idea is that as the plates heat up, the oil from them infuses into your hair. I've always been dubious about claims like these but, whatever the reasons, using these straighteners really does seem to leave my hair softer and shinier than I'm used to?

Fourthly, the curved shape means you can use these to add curls and waves to your style as well as straightening, and

AT LAST

A heated brush that works. I've used a few. Quite a few and was expecting this to be the same.

Well, I've had loads of positive comments since using this, the results have been easy and effective.

TIP

If you have long hair, dry the roots a little first. (the hair nearest the head.)

Divide your hair into sections.

I think, on a foggy day, maybe... half a mile away I look like Kate Middleton. But with this, a few people have commented that my hair (not me) resembles the Kate look.

Okay, but not for me, 3 Aug. 2016

Unfortunately I did not like this as much as I was expecting to. I have a very similar product made by a lesser known brand that I like a lot. The main differences between the product I have and this one are: 1) Remington are a well-known brand, which gave me more confidence in the quality, 2) this has keratin which apparently infuses into your hair to protect it during styling, 3) this is a round brush, whereas the one I have now is a paddle style brush, 4) this one only offers two temperature settings (120 and 180) whereas my other one has four (150-180 in ten degree increments).

I was expecting to like this one better, but was slightly dismayed when it said to use heat-protection serum - I thought that's what the keratin was for?

Never mind - I applied the protection serum and tried it out. And surprisingly, my hair caught. It's never done that with my paddle-style brush. So, it seems a bit rough / snaggy compared to similar brushes I have tried.
