Anywhere fringe!, 14 Feb. 2015

For anyone like me who has had a full fringe cut in, this is a really useful curling iron. Every morning, I have to get my hair to play nicely and sit as I would like it to and usually I have to resort to a hairdryer and brush, having wet my hair. I don't need to wash my hair every morning, so this is often a hassle and this is something which can be and should be used on dry hair.

I like using the heat resistant glove to curl my fringe around the barrel - I don't need to hold it in place for long for it to get my hair aligned into a nicely shaped fringe. I like the fact that this is a retractable device and it makes it a great size for slipping into a travel bag for a few nights away, or into hand luggage for a trip overseas. I was a bit unsure about the hot pink colour at first - it seemed a bit violent, but it turned out to be useful - clearly showing how evenly my fringe is lying over the barrel whilst curling, so that I can quickly remedy any unevenness with my...

This product is impressive in many ways. The design is very clever, allowing the barrel to slide inside the handle when packed away. This makes it easy to take to the gym or on holiday, although there is a plug and a wire. They do fit into the carry case.

The ceramic barrel is good quality and a good size to produce nice big curls. The method of use is new for me as there is no clip on the barrel to hold the hair. A heat resistant glove is provided and you simply hold the hair around the barrel for ten seconds. This took a while to get used to but after some practice it is actually quicker. I am not expert yet but I think I will get used to it quickly. My advice is to hold the barrel downward when making curls as it seems to work better.

I have long hair but I think this would work well if you had a bob or a fringe that you want to style and keep smooth. I find it very good for curving my straight bangs under.

Great retractable design and easy to use, 23 Feb. 2015

My daughter loves this. Robust and well made, yet light and compact enough to take away. The brilliantly designed retracting barrel design makes it really small and useful for travelling, as does the hand storage bag (although the cable doesnt fit in). She says it's really quick and easy to use, puts great curls in her hair. She doesnt use the glove, apparently it's not necessary. My daughter does have very long hair, and maybe that is why she finds it so easy to use; I note others with shorter hair find the design with lack of grip less easy.Great for the price
