This Remington Precision Cut hair clipper has been in use here for the last 5-6 weeks and we have been most impressed by its performance, especially when compared with other clippers we have used.

It arrives partially charged so can be used straight from the box and is supplied with two smoked plastic comb guides which push into the rear of the clipper and the cutting length is then adjusted via slider from 1-21mm using the smaller comb and 24-44mm using the larger comb. It glides through hair, cutting smoothly, crisply and effortlessly with no tugging and the cutting is always consistent.

Previous clippers we’ve used have been supplied with an assortment of 5-6 combs of varying lengths but only up to a maximum of 22-24mm which is great if you’re looking for a close buzz-cut or a slightly longer cut slightly shorter than a hedgehog. These are amazing value clippers and with Remmington you know you're getting good quality. We've always bought their shavers and are just as impressed with these clippers.We left them charging for half the day before using them and they held their charge. My partner likes to shave his hair shorter for the summer and had some older clippers he always uses and has already said they are a much closer shave and more accurate with the length settings. They have a lot of precision and shape his sideburns well and he's very impressed with them.For £20 these are an absolute bargain. Look no further!

The Remington HC5300 Precision Cut Hair Clippers are a basic but good quality set of hair clippers. They are rechargeable (a full charge takes 14-16 hours, and gives a run time of up to 40 minutes) or can be used on the mains - always good for if you run out of battery power halfway through a haircut! Please note that if you use them on the mains all the time you will damage the battery life, however.

The presentation of this set is fairly basic - it comes with the clippers, two comb attachments, a cleaning brush, a small bottle of lubricating oil, and the power lead, plus the instruction booklet - so no protective caps or storage bag is provided. For the price, however, this is not at all unreasonable.

The clippers have precision steel blades (so are rather noisier and get hotter than ones with ceramic blades), and can be used to cut hair from a very short 0.5mm (hold the clippers perpendicular to the head without any comb attachments), to 44mm on the longest...
