Sturdy, quality, easy to control cordless clippers, 20 Jan. 2015

After my trusted Wahl corded clippers stopped working recently, I decided to look into buying a cordless clipper as I was getting a bit tired of having to run an extension lead to the bathroom. I was a little worried that battery powered clippers may not be as powerful, however, I have no regrets whatsoever with this clipper. My decision was between this and the Wahl Lithium Power clipper, and I was swung towards this because of it's durable casing.

The clipper:

It feels weighty but not too heavy in the hand, being easy to control. The casing is indeed tough, and feels long-lasting and of high quality. They are not particularly noisy when switched on, and the on switch itself feels good quality. The blades seem high quality and can be remove to rinse off. Although there is no taper-lever on the side for adjusting the blades to different length cuts from the attachments, I didn't feel this was a huge issue as there are a good selection of attachments for length with the...

Indestructible? Unfortunately not so..., 4 Oct. 2015
I am bald.If I wet shave my entire head and face I look like an 80's Olympic swimmer. There is also the dilemma of where to stop shaving; if I make it the base of my neck, I look like "George the Animal Steele." (Google him if you don't know.)I therefore choose to 'buzz' my face, head and occasionally, the entire body.I have been through a plethora of electric trimmers and clippers in my 20 years of baldness. They always seem to give in at the most inopportune of times... I'm sure it has happened to other people.I jumped at the chance of a sturdy 'indestructible" machine. It comes masquerading as a power tool and with free 'manliness'.In less than 12 months it makes a strange noise and doesn't cut properly... it feels like an epilator...Not so manly now.My search for 'a wireless clipper that lasts more than a year' continues...

In the snap close storage box you get the clippers, instructions, blade guard, oil, cleaning brush, mains charger, 9 straight blades and 2 tapered blades.

I was quite pleased to find that this comes in a decent sized storage case so that you do not have to be a puzzle expert to be able to get all the parts back in, just throw them in and make sure the cable doesn't get pinched when closing. I note one reviewer saying their instructions were badly written, but them may have corrected that now as mine were perfectly readable and understandable.

The charging cable is 3 meters long, so if you forget to charge the clippers then you can run them from the mains and have cable enough to manoeuvre. Charge time is 4 hours, but you don't necessarily have to wait that long to use them. When fully charged the clippers are reported to run for around 2 hours, I can't say I have let mine run flat, but 2 hours seems about right.

If you have used clippers before then...
