There's no seperate pieces to it - it's all built it; to change the head-size, you scroll through the roller until you find the length you want e..g 0.4cm, 1cm etc. and the head then moves up and down to give you that length from the trimmer. That means, no faffing around taking head pieces on and off, potentially losing them. You set the trim size using the scroller and hit the one button and get on with it. You can even remove it very easily altogether and get a flat trim, and easily put it back. It's all mechanical so you don't have to worry about something going wrong electronically and giving you the wrong shave. It worked quite well on my sparse and thin facial hair, so I don't see why this shouldn't work on much fuller hair.
