Trimmer thingy, 23 Dec. 2012
This feels quite substantial compared to other trimmers I've had, and is very ergonomically satisfying. There are a good range of clip on accessories but the downside to this is that they are very hard to change. The accessories are made of quite shiny and slippery plastic and are rather awkward to grip...For those of us who are abundant in the nasal hair region, we will need to perform some small degree of nostril manipulation to get to all of the little swines. The trimmer looked quite beefy but it was a relatively poor performer compared to other trimmers with the cylinder type trimming tool, although it sounded less vicious in its use. Multiple nostril passes were required which was just irritating and time consuming.Looked the part but failed to live up to expectations.

Not quite a cut above, 19 Dec. 2012

First things first, I agree with other reviewers that the packaging is awful. The blister packs really should be banned in favour of something far easier to open and less harmful to the environment.

Right, on to the device itself. This Grooming kit has several functions; a beard trimmer, a nose/ear hair remover and a shaver. The latter is only meant to clear up shorter stubble rather than being used as a proper electric razor.

The nose/ear trimmer works pretty well and even tidies up eyebrows. It's actually better than the standalone one I already own.

The beard trimmer worked well on shorter hair, but as soon as I tried to use it on longer growing hair (particularly side-burns) it started to complain and jam up. This isn't a good sign for something designed to trim facial hair, particularly for those, like me, who have fairly thick beards. The plastic guide does help to get the hair to the right length without cutting too much off, but only if...

AAAAARRRRRGGGGHHHH! Blister packs! Are they the worst invention ever? I certainly think so especially after this demonic wrapping.Once (after a Veeeery long time) I actually got into this product I was pleasantly surprised to find a pretty well made piece of kit.Briefly it is composed of a Narrow trimmer,a fine trimmer and a mini foil shaver, all of which fit on a very well made handle which runs on 2AAA batteries which are supplied. The trimmer works extremely well,in fact the nose/ear trimmer is certainly the very best I have ever had and I have owned at least 8!This would make a very nice stocking filler, at £10.49 its pretty much a bargain...I like it!
