I've been using straighteners for years and have always bemoaned the fact that you cant just use it straight on wet hair - so I was delighted to order these and couldn't wait to try it.

First, it's a really nice design in ice blue, with silver and black trim. The body of this is totally non slip - a real plus in my mind. (If you've ever had a burn from a straightener on 230 degrees - you'll know how important this is!).

The controls are tucked away on the side and he temperature gauge is located on the top and is very easy to read. The temperature ranges from 140 to 230 degrees C. Don't start with the highest setting - as 230 degrees is REALLY hot and your first try might end up with the smell of burning hair. I'd start somewhere in the middle and see how you get on.

This has ceramic plates that have been impregnated with conditioners to make your hair shiny. Now I'm normally sceptical about this sort of thing but I have to admit that they do actually...

Better than the original, 25 Aug. 2014

I had to replace the original wide wet to straight straighteners after about 10 years and find these even better. They are very small and light but do the job better than the larger heavy original ones and more portable.My hair is very shiny after using these so very pleased. I do use a hair protection spray as they are very hot and for speed partially dry my hair using a hair dryer.

great straighteners but not the best dryer, 21 Nov. 2012

First of all I have very thick wavy hair and these are excellent at getting it straight! They are every bit as good as other far more expensive brands. So as a straightener, I thoroughly recommend them. They are easy to use, they glide on the hair, they heat up quickly and they leave the hair perfectly sleek, glossy and straight. I also use them to curl and shape and to add root lift. They are also exceptionally good for these purposes.

The only problem is they did not work efficiently or very effectively as a wet to straight straightener. It fizzed and took ages to actually get dry plus my roots were still damp so the overall effect was not good.

However, why do you need to do that anyway. You can simply blast your hair with the hairdryer and these are so effective that they will straighten your hair whatever way it's been dried.

Overall, I thoroughly recommend this product as a straightener and cannot fault it; however, I would not recommend it as a dryer if you have...
