I have very thick coarse curly hair, so finding the right straighteners is quite a big ordeal. After my Cloud 9 straighteners broke, I couldn't invest in another pair the same price, or another top of the range pair of straighteners like GHD's. After doing a bit of research, and being persuaded by the price on Amazon, I decided to give these straighteners a go.
I'm really pleased with the results and find them exceptional value for money. The plates give a really smooth finish to my hair, which is very impressive considering how coarse my hair is. But much better of all, the time it takes to get my hair straight, and the amount of repetition needed to achieve this finish is the same (if not quicker) than Cloud 9's or GHDs, which I've had both before. The temperature control is really great as well, and the casing it comes with doubles up as a heat protective pad. I honestly do not know what I would do without these straighteners - and that is me talking as a GHD user for 10 years!
My third pair of GHD's began crackling and working intermittently. I had felt for a while that they weren't working as well as they should have been doing but couldn't afford another pair of £100+ straighteners so had a good look on Amazon for 'the next best thing'.
May hair is shoulder length, frizzy and very thick so any straighteners needed to be really special to tackle my mane. Even GHD's had a job of taming my hair and more often than not my hair `bounched back' an hour after straightening. I read the reviews on these straighteners which were all mainly positive so decided to give them a go but I wasn't expecting miracles.
They arrived the next day and so I put my trusty GHD's away and got my new straighteners ready for when I washed my hair the next morning.
