I rely upon reviews to buy so thought I ought to reciprocate. Purchased to replace cutters on Remington R800, my stepfathers. His old cutters weren't doing the job, kept on tugging on the hairs and were making his life a misery to the point where he didn't bother to shave and was looking like a tramp.

The cutters were a bit fiddly to remove and replace, you need patience, a steady hand and the application of constant pressure. Or maybe I was just too scared of breaking the plastic tongues holding the cutters in place. So have a cup of tea, sit down, count to ten and be prepared to spend the next fifteen to twenty minutes focused and patiently removing one set of cutters and popping in the other. After the third and final cutter I was confident and an expert.

My stepfather is a happy bunny and is now presentable, the shaver is like new. Hurrah!!

Oh yes, ordered on a Wednesday and arrived Monday. I don't know how Amazon do it, brilliant service and £5 odd cheaper than...

Don't throw away your old razor, 28 Sept. 2012

If the battery is still OK, don't throw away old old Remington razor - just get now foils. It took a few seconds to fit these, and it felt like shaving with a new razor again. New foils from all makers seem a bit expensive considering the price of a new razor, and that's why I've only given four stars, but think of the environment before consigning and otherwise OK machine to landfill.

it seems exspensive, but then it's still half the price of a new shaver, and when the blades go blunt then that's that. pretty easy to fit and certainly made a big difference. will probably buy some more in another 2 years assuming the shaver is still in good working order.
