Not bad on legs, sore on underarms, 16 May 2011

This shaver is cordless and can be used wet or dry and nicely shaped to fit in your hand and has twin roller foils with an aloe vera strip. Like electric toothbrushes it comes with a two prong "plug" so you need to buy a shaver adapter in order to charge it up, if you don't have one already (although I felt the prongs didn't fit as snugly into the adapter as my toothbrush. It comes with a little brush for cleaning and a little white bag to store it in. The "bikini trimmer" is a clear plastic comb - which I initially thoght was some kind of cover and which kept falling off.

The instructions advise you not to charge it up anywhere damp - so my shaver socket in the bathroom was a no go. The shaver easily fell off its charging bases if even slightly nudged. The instructions also advise replacing the foils every 6 months! - or they may snag on your skin - this could make it very expensive to run and fiddly to replace ( I can't comment yet on the foils longevity as I have only...

To be honest the design of this hasn't changed much from a rechargeable remington shaver I owned about 20 years ago. It does all that it should. I preferred using it dry, when i used it wet i found it pulled and didn't perform very well at all. I have been using epilators for years so it was strange to use initially. It was quick and gave a smooth result to my legs. This will be very handy for holidays as a charge lasts ages. Very happy with this item.

Efficient little shaver, 3 May 2011

This is an efficient little shaver that holds its charge well. According to the packaging its battery should hold 30 minutes worth of charge cordlessly. I have owned a couple of shavers in the past, a really cheap one, and a mid range one near the same standard as this, unlike the old ones I was pleasantly surprised that the Remington managed to trim one to two days worth of growth without applying to much pressure, and in one stroke. This is very good by my standards as this prevents irritation and significantly saves battery charge. I would like to think that the reduced shaving time and strokes will lead to a longer life in the blades.

The shaver feels ergonomically well contoured to provide a decent grip, not too weighty, perhaps a little loud when on full charge, but no louder than a hair dryer. The head of the shaver has a hypoallergenic Aloe Vera strip with the aim to soothe as you shave but does not appear to be replaceable after wear and tear. Unlike other shavers...
