Introduction/Experience

I have had Remington shavers for more years than I can remember with the exception of a short period using a Braun. The Braun was a very expensive version and failed miserably compared to my other Braun battery powered folding holiday shaver which I still have and is performing brilliantly.

My existing Remington I’ve been using is a Titanium twin foil with a blade trimmer and also a foil trimmer but is getting old and the battery life was showing its age, so this becomes the reason to get a new shaver. I have a Remington R1 rotary which I use now and again as a backup when the Remington foil shaver battery goes flat so you can see I have experience of both types of shaver.

Unusual shape but fits perfectly in the hand.

It's very light and easy to use, 8 April 2017

Ok, so just started using it for a week or so and originally bought it so I could shave my head. I would say this probably does the job as well as any product on the market. It's very light and easy to use. Just spend a few minutes making sure you do it properly. Cuts really close and I only need to use it every 3 days. I prefer to wet shave my face but that's only because that is what I am used to. I could end up using this to do my whole head. Shaving foam is optional, but I just have a hot shower first to soften up the hairs. Worth spending a few seconds after each shave to clean, lift the heads and blow out the hairs, clip heads back in, done..

Perfect SKULL / HEAD shaver, 11 May 2017

This is the perfect head shaver. As a previous commenter has mentioned, I'm also stunned that Remington does not grab the opportunity to sell this masterpiece for this niche market.The XR1400 perfectly fits in my palm, silent; it's just doing its job. Shaves my rough, gritty, unsmooth head just fine! Takes care of my skin, and removes the hair - as a Remington could do.The result is a beautiful, shiny cue-bally bald head!I'd give it 6-star because it ended my long-long quest for a high-quality head shaver. THANKS!!!
