I have been using the same Kabuki brush for the last ten years, of course I have washed it! This is because I could not find one I liked and after various disasters I gave up..until I had the chance to get this at a discounted price, for an unbiased review. To be honest I did not expect to like it, so I was thrilled when it met all my criteria....
1. Although small it is very substantial.
2. The brush is soft,thick and lush.
3. It does not smell strange.
4. The top actually stays on securely.
5. It is easy to retract and looks and feels professional.
6. My mineral foundation adheres to the brush well.
7. It feels nice on the skin and applies foundation nicely and evenly without making the skin look dry.
8. It feel nice to hold, making application easy.
Maybe I'm very fussy.... if you are going to use something everyday then it needs to be a good quality product that you actually enjoy using without annoying problems. I can put some powder...

This is a great brush.
It came well packaged in a black box. There was a sticker on the box which covered the company contact details and left a sticky mark but the box only went in the bin so this is no problem.
The brush case is plain black, with only the Studio 5 London logo on the top. It is glossy, sophisticated and smart.
It is the perfect size for a make up bag or handbag. Compact enough to take up little space but large enough to actually be a decent brush. Much better than the tiny brushes which come with blushers!
It is easy to open and easy to use. The brush is very soft and feels nice to use. I have used this for blusher but would also use it for foundation or bronzer.
After using, the casing can be pulled up to contain the brush. The lid can then easily be put on.
I highly recommend this brush. A retractable brush is an essential in my opinion as a loose brush in a handbag very quickly gets dirty, and this...
