Works best when the rest of your makeup is quite neutral, 22 Oct. 2014
I have a dark complexion.... this color is so gorgeous. I have received so many compliments. Works best when the rest of your makeup is quite neutral. And it is a bit minty and feels sooooo soft! Often matte colors are drying but not this one! I wish there were more colors that suited my complexion. Would buy them all!!

Revlon Colour Burst Matte Balm Stain Elusive, 26 Jan. 2015
This lipstick is shaped rather like a crayon and is a soft, pastel pink in colour. The lipstick has a nice, moisturising feel to and the lip balm helps your lips feel soft – even when it is cold and windy out. It does apply quite lightly – so you need a few layers if you want the colour to really show. Also, it does need to be reapplied throughout the day, as it is not very long lasting. I think it could be described more as a soft lip balm, which also has some colour. However, as an everyday lipstick for work, it is fine and it feels very comfortable to wear. I really like the way this lipstick feels, even if you need to apply it more than once. The shade is subtle, so not really for when you are headed out on the town, but nice for daytime and good for my pale colouring.

Bright and modern, with great staying power, 26 Jan. 2015

This is a cute, chunky little lip crayon that goes on softly and smoothly. It's very quick and easy to apply, you can just draw it on, and a little goes a long way. It gives great coverage, filling in any lines or crevices and leaving a flawless matte finish. The colour (Elusive) is bright and modern, a great pop of vibrant pink with a slight orangey undertone.

I found that it had excellent staying power, and even after eating a greasy meal and having a hot drink, the colour and coverage looked exactly the same (which is rare for either a lip balm or a lip stick!) I didn't see any transfer onto the sides of the mug when I drank.

I would say however, that this is more of a lip stain than a balm. It does feel soft and slightly moisturising, but no more so than most moisturising lipsticks, and I still found I needed to use a little bit of standard balm or gloss over the top to keep my lips feeling fully hydrated. As long as you don't mind this, then I'd recommend...
