Conditioning - Some Awesome Colours, 31 May 2017

I've tried a few of these Directions semi-permanent dyes on un-bleached hair now and have had mixed results. However, I do love the ones that have worked and have uploaded photos of the best ones. I shall describe each one seperately - all of which were left for around 30mins after being fully applied.

I was looking to try some semi-permanent dyes but was unwilling to bleach my hair as I never have and don't want to damage my hair too much. The first photo I uploaded is roughly what my hair was like when I first used these dyes. My natural medium brown hair had grown through and left over highlights towards the bottom had turned quite light. They were more towards the very end of my hair when I dyed it though, rather than the majority of it like in the photo. The length is about the same.

I first tried the lagoon blue which just gave my hair a slight green tinge (more visible on the light ends). As it wasn't very noticeable I haven't uploaded a picture of this...

Favourite toner ever!, 9 Jun. 2017

I love this, definitely favourite toner. I had a balayage done - so I'm a natural dark blonde and had the ends lightened to an almost platinum blonde colour. I use this once a week just to keep the light blonde refreshed. If you leave it on for hours, it will slightly tint your hair a lilac colour which can only be seen in bright light. Personally, I like this....and it washed away the lilac tint after one wash.Also, as this is so conditioning, I put it all over my hair. I actually use this straight on dry hair, leave it a couple of hours and wash it off. My hair is super clean, so soft and easy to brush. I love this stuff!!

Favourite Semi-permanent dye, 3 July 2017

I dye my hair about every 3 weeks and I've had my hair every colour of the rainbow and I've used multiple hair dye brands (manic panic, schwarzkopf, crazy colour) but I think la riche Directions is probably my favourite. The colours are always really vibrant and true to the shade shown and also its super easy to mix them to create custom colours which I absolutely love doing and also diluting them with white conditioner helps achieve really nice, softer, more pastel colours (The photo is of la riche directions in cerise and violet that i diluted with conditioner on bleached hair) My hair always feels amazing after I've put this in and it smells good too. It tends to last about a week before it begins to fade but it fades fairly slowly for me so lasts about 4-5 weeks before the majority of the colour is gone but its also not super stubborn so if you need to get it out faster then its not a nightmare like manic panic had been for me in the past. I've used it on my natural colour hair...
