Rita Ora Bestival Blue - perfect summer colour., 17 Jun. 2015

Off on holiday in a couple of weeks so stocking up on my summer colours. Bestival Blue is particularly nice for summer. The colour on the Amazon website is perhaps a little bit lighter and more vivid than the true colour once the polish dries but it's not a million miles away.Rimmel promise their 60 seconds super shine range is chip resistant, anti fade, high shine and lasts for up to 10 days. Mostly it does but the polish chips off the very ends of my nails after a couple of days. Apart from that it sticks like glue and is very heard wearing. Great for toe nails.I love the Xpress brush and the super quick drying formula. Easy polish to remove.Haven't bought any Rimmel products for years but I do like this nail polish range and I'm happy to recommend.

Bought Go Wild-er-Ness which is a lovely light lilac shade. This one is quite translucent though so you need at least 2-3 coats so your nails don't shine though in the light. It's a strange shade when first applied as it looks like you're losing the circulation under your nails. The brush is quite stumpy but I like that as it makes it easier to apply with a couple of strokes than going over it. The downside is if you put too thick a coat on or don't wait quite long enough between coats it's far too easy to mess up with finger prints of scraping off. Once dry though and with a good number of coats on, it's a lovely colour and doesn't seem to chip too easily. Would recommend a decent top coat though. Would have liked it to dry a little quicker - especially as it requires a few coats but I'd still probably buy other colours from the range.

The colour is simple fabulous, lovely bright coral and very summery... I was like "wow" after painting just one finger nail.. quickly fell in love. :) Good pigmentation, so a single or max 2 coats would suffice. I am personally not a fan of the wide brushes as I can't get to the very edges of my nails. Dries quickly as well. I used it with an OPI base coat and it didn't last too long, chipped in about 1-2 days so one point off for that. (I have a little one so do a lot of work at home, washing up etc so most polishes don't seem to last more than 2 days without a chip, irrespective of what base or top coat I use).Anyway, this is a fab colour and I absolutely recommend it.
