Works Beautifully For Me, 23 Mar. 2016

I tried with trepidation this Rimmel Gel Nail Polish after reading other reviews of it taking ages to dry and not being very forgiving if you have ridges in nails etc. - I'm not very patient and I have ridges on my nails. I really didn't think I would get on very well with this polish but it turned out I was wrong – I love it!

I received colour 013 Bear Hug (popular mushroom/stone shade) and as it is a two-step nail polish, I purchased the Gel Topcoat to finish it off properly. I don't know whether the topcoat actually hardens the colour beneath or if it is a hard shell itself to stop wear and damage to the colour layers below.

The bottle is a decent size of 12ml and the brush is one of those slightly flattened, shaped ones to give a good oval ended brush which fits the nail nicely. One coat gave good coverage but I could just see where the pink and white parts of my nails join. I waited about ten minutes before gently touching it with a fingertip and...

Having limited experience with nail varnish, I gave this to a colleague who uses it very regularly to try and she has been very impressed, noting that:This is an easy to apply 'Super Gel Nail Polish' that actually lasts. Proved to be chip resistant and anti-fading. Colour is still vibrant after 7 days. Also purchased the 'Perfect Posy' and 'Angel Wing' colours after using this for Super Gel Kit for the first time.The photo attached was taken after seven days and the fact she has gone out to buy more speaks volumes for it.

A trainee beauty therapists view 😊, 3 April 2016

I bough the top coat and urban purple, I have only had it a few days and it is lasting very well so far, no chips or scratches. Took two coats of colour and the coverage is really good, dried really quickly first coat within about a minute or two and about the same for coat 2. I am a trainee beauty therapist and this is very much marketed like the average polish and is applied like one which makes it better for me, so I can see the difference between the professional and expensive products and the cheaper products. Well done Rimmel so so good 😊 I just want to see how it will wear in a week or so 😊
