If you're like me and worried that such a reasonable price means the quality must be bad—let me tell you that's not the case here. I am very happy with this purchase. I was overseas and used a friend's curling iron/straightener combo and thought what a miracle invention to have these 2-in-1! I got home and couldn't find a similar product anywhere. But this is it, exactly what I was looking for.
First time I used it, I hit the power button and nothing happened...I thought I got a lemon and would have to send it back but then I realised you have to press and HOLD the power button to turn both on and off. This is a very good thing because with the buttons on the handle you will likely push the buttons while you use it, so this ensures you don't turn it off while you're curling your hair.
The temperature gets very hot, 450, fast. It gives nice big wave/curls, which is what I wanted. The inside straightener plates get hot, as well...
