As I have no need for this item, my partner gave me her opinion on it, as I watched her apply the nail polish. For a starter, I could not believe you girls went through the long winded performance just to do your nails, if it was me I would have jacked it in a long time ago.
On opening the box, you get the LED curing lamp, a nail board for filing, a cuticle stick, some pads, a nail polish in bright pink, a nail preparation and a gel remover for removing the polish afterwards. You do seem to get a lot on first glance, so was looking forward to the end results.
First of you must make sure the nails are at the best for receiving the polish. This means that the nails need to be filed smooth, the cuticles sorted out and the ready lotion applied to remove any grease from fingers etc, so the polish can stick. This kit has been developed around the Rokit Gel Polish, a nail varnish that cures, i.e. hardens on exposure to UV light.
Included in the kit is the UV lamp unit, a 50ml bottle of 'Ready' a 50ml bottle of 'Remove' a 5ml bottle of 'Shock Pink' gel and a plastic bag containing cleansing pads, nail buffer and cuticle stick.
The application of the gel is quite simple, I would recommend treating 1 hand at a time, shape the nails and clean them with the 'Ready' fluid to remove any grease. Apply a coat of the Gel to each nail and place your hand in the curing unit avoiding getting any of the wet Gel onto the interior surfaces of the unit. Turn the unit on and time 1 minute before switching off. Repeat the Gel application process and place your hand back in the curing unit, switch on but this time leave your hand in until the curer automatically switches itself off. Repeat with your other hand.
