Sally Hansen Strengthening Nail Polish Remover, 24 Mar. 2013

Am already a user of this nail varnish remover and have been for the last year or so.It removes dark coloured varnish even with glittery bits in it easily. That is with a base coat, nail colour then top coat, all removed with a pad with this remover on it then just wiped along each nail and it comes off just so easily, your nails still left in good condition.Not a powerful nasty chemical smell to it and it is a pink colour.There are different types of nail varnish remover in the range for if like me you have soft, thin nails, this is a good one to try as having pro vitamin B5, vitamin E and hydrolysed wheat protein (not exactly sure what each chemical part is which if honest). Just know that my nails do not feel brittle or flaky after using this to remove any nail polish. Plus no nasty reactions on my skin (fingers) with having sensitive skin do another reason why I tend to use it.

I don't love it, because it doesn't magically get off 3 layers of polish and a top coat in one swipe, but I have yet to find anything that does. I like it, because if you use enough, it will get through all of your nails (and a fair bit of cotton wool) and it doesn't seem to hurt them any in the process. On top of that, it's suitably cheap and that's what I want if it's going to be a bit of time doing it's job, no point spending lots more if it takes just as much effort. No better or worse than any other remover I have used previously.Second bottle of this, can't say that I notice if it does anything at all for nail strengthening, nails just as prone to breaking as with anything else I've used.

Doesn't feel harsh, 25 Jan. 2015

As my nails are always coated either with a strengthener or nail polish, I wanted a remover that wouldn't be too harsh on my them. This one proved to be pretty good, it's doesn't feel harsh on my nails and a little bit goes a long way so I'm happy. Delivery was prompt which is another bonus!
