I have been having my legs waxed for many years at salons and it all adds up. I have also spent money on home waxing products that dont really work. Therefore i thought i would splash out and give this as try. Delivery was quick and good price from looking around elsewhere. You just slot the wax in the handheld heater and plug it in. It did take about 40 mins to warm up the wax enough to use so next time i will know and make sure i plug it in way before i need it. The hand held heater didnt become too hot and i was able to wax with it still plugged in to keep it hot or you can remove the cord and use it cordless and i suppose it reatins heat. It rolls on really easily and quickly, much better than messing about with pots and spatulas. It gave a very good professional feel. I didnt need to keep going back over areas as the first strip was sufficient to get all the hairs. I did a full leg wax and bikini and underarms in about 1 1/2 hours as i had to wait for the small head to heat for...

This is the best wax system ever! I'm an experienced DIY waxer & use salons too. The system does leave you with sticky legs, but so do salons! My advice is to have a bottle of surgical spirit & kitchen roll ready to keep yours hands clean & wipe your leg down after. Surgical spirit may sting if you're new to waxing. Test first. It's definitely the best thing to remove stickyness. It took me 45mins to do both 3/4 legs, 12 strips & hardly any wax. I reckon one cartridge would do 6 pairs of legs. You can re-use the strips 3-4 times & the wax is so sticky you don't need to keep applying more, just use the same hairy wax on the strip! To get your technique right I would recommend going to a salon that uses rollers, watch how they do it - it will really help you to be efficient with the wax & strips. 'They' use the same strip lots of times. I kept my unit plugged in which wasn't too annoying (with a foot on the kitchen work top LOL). Takes about 45mins to heat up. No spills, no...

Poor quality wax, 14 Jun. 2015

So, yesterday I squealed with delight (slight exaggeration there) when my new roller wax kit was delivered..... after I put my youngest to bed I assembled everything and waited for it to heat up.... It heats perfectly, and rolls a nice thin layer of wax onto the skin. So far, so good .....

Then comes the ripping part......

Not ONE hair was removed from my very yeti-like legs or underarms (hey, I had to let it grow, that was the point of buying a wax kit!).

I decided to try tonight with my trusty pot and spatula to see if it was the roller wax that was the problem or if it was just that my hair wasn't quite long enough....

I'm now sat here with perfectly waxed underarms, nice (half) smooth legs (I've left half to grow so I can test my roller again in a few days when the yeti hair is a bit longer), and a nice smooth bikini area. All thanks to my pot and spatula.

So far, I'm not overly impressed. But I'm learning that Salon System...
