Strongly recommended buy, 20 July 2011

I've never left a product review on Amazon before but I felt compelled to do so for these scales as I remembered there being a few 1 star ratings and I feel this is completely unfair.

Bear in mind I've literally only just received and tested these scales, so I have no idea as to their longevity, but the quality of their build does seem really high so I'm sure they'll last me a long time.

The 1 star ratings seem based on the opinion that these scales are difficult to program, but I must say: this simply isn't the case. I had the whole thing set up in about two minutes and had my weight, BMI, bodyfat percentage, body water percentage and muscle mass percentage. You merely turn the scales on with a quick tap, press set, choose a profile, and then modify the data (such as age, height etc.) as it appears. You do have to keep up some momentum with the input to stop the scales from reverting to 0, and this might mean going through the steps a couple of times until you...

Got these scales about a month ago and have had no problems with them whatsoever.I'm not quite sure how other reviews found it hard to set up. It only takes 2 minutes and there are clear set up instructions included in case you get stuck.Lost one star for the inability to save results so you need to quickly write them down if you want to store them, but being one of the cheapest bmi analysis scales I wasn't expecting many frills

May have an annoying fault?, 4 May 2012

Firstly, this is not a great product, the way of entering your information and then selecting your presets is not exactly user friendly. It reminding me of setting the time on an old casio digital watch. So in 2012, the electronics feel antiquated.

The build quality is OK, but nothing to rave about, there isn't a solid feel to them or anything - but they are small and slim - so perhaps the two are not compatible. The stand is OK, just a bit of plastic - not exactly classy. Again it feels dated.

BUT.... the big problem, and I suspect others have had this problem, the battery drains in the scales even if not in use.

I have come back to my scales after not using them for a few weeks and puzzled why they didn't switch on. Since I hadn't used them very much it didn't occur to me to change the battery for a while - when I did, hey presto, it worked. Then I returned to the scales, again after a few weeks and they didn't work again?????? Yes, you guessed it the...
