Feet like Hobbits? This is for you, 27 Oct. 2014

I am not taking account of the price of this set as experience tells me that these things fluctuate wildly!! So this is based purely on the item itself.

I have suffered with horrible feet my whole life. Not smelly, just downright ugly - callouses as big as 50p pieces, gnarled heels, dead skin hanging of the soles.... Yuck. I've always owned a pumice stone and regularly give my feet a good thrashing, but it makes little difference.

However, upon firing up the little skin-sander (as I like to think of it - sounds more manly!), the rough and jagged edges never stood a chance! The sander rotates quickly and powerfully - it reduced the callous on my big toe (which I normally will literally carve off with a knife!) to flakes on the carpet within a minute. A quick going over got rid of the rest.

Used regularly and with the accompanying moisturisers, my feet now look less Hobbit and more human.

Great products but expensive set, 30 Sept. 2014

The gift set idea is brilliant as you get pretty much everything you need to have a pedicure at home. The gift set includes a Velvet Smooth Pedi Electric Hard Skin Remover with batteries, a daily moisturising cream, cuticle sticks, a glass nail file and toe separators complete with a lovely gift bag it all fits in for easy transportation!

I wasn't particularly impressed with the packaging it came in as all the items had moved around and the box was quite flimsy.

I do like the Velvet Smooth Pedi Electric Hard Skin Remover which is really easy to use, you simply twist the handle and move the pedi over your feet applying pressure to remove the dead skin. After one use which took about 15 minutes in total it left my feet feeling silky and soft!

I then applied the daily moisturiser which is quite light and not as thick as i perhaps would have expected, it soaked well into my feet and I left them for an hour or so before I moved onto the next stage of my at...

This is a rather nice kit for someone wanting nearly all the gubbins to pursue a dedication to the foot beautiful. It comprises a battery powered foot sander, which is the high end item in the bag - and very good it is too, taking the hard work out of using manual pumice stones, exfoliators, foot sandpaper tools and the like. The rest is more or less useful padding to make it into a kit - a glass file/emery, 4 wooden cuticle pushers, some toe separators for ease of da varnishing of toesies, and Scholl Moisture Cream for feet. Everything is in Scholl's current colour scheme of a kind of French Blue and white/off white, so it is all popped into a bag to match, with room a plenty for some varnishes, varnish remover etc. And the foot sander comes with batteries, so you or your pedi keen friend, loved one or rellie (it has 'geared for a Chrissie or similar' present stamped all over it) will be good to play footsie
