I was attracted to this product because I had been having problems with dry skin on my feet and this promises to hydrate as well as cleansing, whereas most similar products tend to just dry your skin further.
In use, I found the smell quite pleasant and this does help with relaxation, but you do need to make sure you don't put too much in with the water, as it is quite strong. I found it worked very well in terms of cleansing and combined with some kind of exfoliation - e.g. pumice stone - this makes your feet feel a lot better.
In conjunction with the companion product :
- this does seem to work very well for dry skin. However - one of first ingredients is "Sodium Laureth Sulfate" which is known as a skin irritant and can make dry skin worse. This is why...

I have no doubt that this foot soak works. If, like me, you have feet like Fred Flintstone, then this may be the only answer. But, the blurb does rather give the impression of a cuddly, tree hugging product, especially when it refers to green caviar, Marine Serum and vitamin E. You may get a totally different impression if you check out some of the main ingredients:

Phenoxyethanol - Repeated exposure over prolonged periods has been linked to contact dermatitis, worsening of eczema, reproductive toxicity and neurotoxicity.
Benzoic Acid - A preservative, linked to asthma problems and increased levels...

I am not one of those people with "just" dry skin on my feet - if they don't get regular tlc they quickly become hard and cracked so I have used my fair share of foot products. I generally feel Scholl is a good, trustworthy brand and will always give their footy products a go.
I would say this foot soak is really nice - I regularly soak my feet and usually just use bubble bath. This product had a lovely clean, herby smell, I didn't find it at all overpowering as one reviewer suggested, it also made the water feel a little bit thicker and silkier for want of a better description.
I don't think on its own this would make much difference to the state of your feet, it is definitely to be used as the first step of a regime, followed by removing hard skin and then moisturising, so it probably wouldn't be an essential part of your foot care process.
It is fairly pricey for what it is - hence 4 stars - around £7 for 10 doses makes it 70p a soak...
