I have an Omega Badger Silvertip and a Múhle Synthetic both cost over £40! People call this a starter's brush but I love it, I far prefer this to my Omega 599 Silver tip and it is on a par with my Múhle Synthetic, but the Semogue is a quarter of the price! Expensive things may be nice to have but they are not always better at the job.I bought the Omega Professional and sent it back as it was way to big to be usable, I find the Semogues 21 inch knot just right, and as this brush breaks in I'm liking it more and more, loads easily, and lathers excellently, I can't see myself using Badger again. Boar is better!

Excellent shaving brush. I have comfortably used this for months now. I originally intended to use this only as a travel brush and to later replace my badger brush for home use, but I now no longer feel the need to purchase any additional brushes. When properly presoaked in warm water, these bristles perform wonderfully. Bristles rarely fall out, and the knot appears to be holding up well. I have seen greater bristle loss in my grossly overhyped brushes costing over £150 (never again...). A quality product from a well regarded brush-maker. I will purchase from Semogue any time I need a new brush.

Brush is very nice. The logo on the front is actually a sticker, it would have been nice for it to be part of the handle as I imagine that will come off at some point. Works well when shaving.
