I don't think so, 16 Oct. 2016
It was about time that we men had some brands that focus on our well being. But sadly at this early stage of the development of the pampered man, the scavengers have arrived to rob you of your cash. This is the case of Shaveology and their ultra expensive oil. I watched my grand father wet shave, and my father wet shave before I had to hold my own safety razor. There is no oil involved in that gesture. In any case you cannot use preshave oil if you want to preserve your badger brush. Nor can you bathe your brush in hot water (the water temperature should not exceed a tepid 42°C.). What you need is a good razor (preferably Merkur), a good blade (not Derby, Personna or Bolzano but almost anything else), a badger brush (the Chinese make good cheap brishes) and a good soap (almost assuredly synonymous with cheap). Preparing the skin is important: use a hot towel, not oil.
