The dispatch and delivery was excellent . The handle, swivel etc are all well sewn, well made and should last.The strop surface itself was incredibly rough and poorly finished. There were small nicks in the stropping surface and the leather was hard and inflexible. I would have thought this would have failed a quality check as the nicks will undoubtedly ruin a razors edge. I am still slowly conditioning it and making it into a useable strop which will take some effort.it can not be used out of the box so it speak but perhaps in the long run may well be adequate as i suspect it will last due to being well made.due to the price it I decide to accept it for what it is rather than return it.

Can't judge for reasons that are not their fault, 22 May 2015

Hard to judge. I bought this and a straight razor and honing stone - all at the same time. This arrived first, then the razor (after a long time). But the honing stone never arrived. I used this to strop the razor, but the razor needed to be honed and is therefore currently unusuable. It is hard to judge. THis is a fairly simple strop, but it looks well-made. I suspect that if I had been able to hone the razor, this would have been adequate for stropping it.
