Aim for higher .. or this could possibly put you off DE shaving for life in just one evening. This is a very poor example of what a double edge razor actually is . There is barely enough blade exposed to even shave the cream off let alone your stubble , this quite simply is not how a DE should be or in fact is.. I would put this on a par with the very worst basic Orange handled Original BIC disposable Razors. As for the rest of the kit , The blades are good the Cream is good but the brush is too long and hard . For the price of this kit alone you can buy yourself a perfectly decent DE razor & then buy the blades and shaving soap separate. The razor might suit a 14 year old who has peach fuzz on his upper lip and a few chin feathers. Take my advise and aim for something better - believe me -

There is just enough of the blade present to get a good shave without the novice ripping their face off, 20 Jan. 2015

Brush is Huge, probably only necessary if you have a beard and a face the size of the moon. The razor is well constructed, but the plating is beggining to fail- not that this effects usage. There is just enough of the blade present to get a good shave without the novice ripping their face off. The derby blades if you don't know them are great, my razor burn faded after the first week and i get about a week from each blade easily. The shaving cream is a very good shave, but smells lke the cheapest lemon air freshener ever! Not a bad investment overall if you have the smaller brush and you are testing the water with Dual edge razor shaving.
