Having used gel for some years now a friend recommended I switch to clay. This was exactly what I needed. It smells much nicer, holds much longer, and doesn't make my hair look wet. You wouldn't even see it's there.It's also very easy to apply unlike some suggestions that clay is hard to apply. Just put a bit on your index finger, rub it for a few seconds using the palms of your hands to heat it up, then spread it over the surface of your hair -- that's literally it.I thought this was already good value, but I didn't even notice this was a pack of 3 when I ordered it. That was a very pleasant surprise when they arrived.

It's a nice product, more like a cream than a clay. You don't need much for each application so the tub lasts a long time. It's nice for doing sleek styles on shorter hair, and on medium hair you can rub the product in and then turn your head upside down and rub and flick your hair to create volume. Although if you use this product on medium hair you may need some hairspray afterwards to make it hold. The Matt Clay also smells nice and washes out easily
