A good product - just don't expect miracles!, 4 Aug. 2016

Review by a sixty-something sceptic!

I am always on the look-out for a good moisturiser that is not too heavy and is a good base for makeup, so I thought I would try this as it was on offer. Having read the enclosed instructions, I did a 24-hour patch test, as instructed, with no adverse reaction.

On first using the cream on my face I did feel a slight tingling sensation, nothing particularly startling. Doubtful this had anything to do with 'bee

stings' but probably some other ingredient. I have applied the cream to my face and neck, after cleansing, twice a day for three weeks. The instructions say you should apply moisturiser on top of this cream, but I felt my skin was nourished/moisturised enough without. The cream is an excellent base for make up.

From the first couple of days using this cream twice a day, my skin has felt smoother, softer and 'calmer' (ie not subject to the tiny whiteheads that appear every now and then). I would even...

Not for me but it might be fine for you..., 2 Aug. 2016

These things are always quite subjective, so my low rating really reflects the fact that I don't much like the product rather than that there's anything particularly bad about it.

It comes well packaged and the little tub is quite attractive. The cream is quite light and sinks in quickly. I did get a bit of a tingling sensation which I didn't find particularly pleasant. However it didn't irritate my sensitive skin. It did irritate my eyes, making them feel a bit itchy and teary, but this is a problem I find with a lot of face creams even though I'm very careful to avoid the eye area - there's clearly a standard ingredient that my eyes must be sensitive to, so I'm not marking it down for that.

However, I have to say I noticed very little effect in terms of the look or feel of my skin. This is one you're supposed to use in addition to moisturiser, so I'd have to see a noticeable difference to make it worth adding into my routine, and I'm afraid I didn't. The other...

Really bad reaction to this cream, 13 July 2016
I have had many products in this range and this is only the second one I've had a bad reaction to. I put on morning and night and have come up with really bad red lumpy patches. This is the only product I have used on my face since the weekend. I left yesterday and tried again this morning but the same thing has happened which is a shame as it's a lovely consistency and really nice smell, it absorbed quickly too, but after only 20 mins on I started seeing these large raised blisters on my face and neck and they were burning and bright red. It can only have come from this product. Must be something in the ingredients that they don't use in the other products as this is only the second product in this range that has done this. Other than that it was lovely such a shame.
