Soil Association Certified Organic Indigo Powder 200g is available in Permanent Colour

Certified organic pure indigofera tinctoria, indigo leaf powder used for colouring your hair. It can be used for darkening and enriching dark brown hair. When Indigo is used in conjunction with henna is it can give shades of different browns to black. The resulting colour depends on the method, how long you leave it on for and the proportion of henna and indigo used. Indigo is a blue plant and will give a blue/green tint if used alone on light coloured - grey or light blonde hair.

Turned my hair green!, 1 May 2013
I followed the instructions and used this indigo powder after using henna, it turned my hair a muddy shade of green, not nice at all. I had to buy another product to correct the disaster. I was very disappointed and I don't know what went wrong as something sure did! I would try it again if someone could tell me what went wrong so I could avoid green hair, I really love natural products like this. So if you are going to try this product double check how to do it as something in these instructions went wrong. Good luck!

I was very reluctant to buy this as I have never done it before. I've always used henna mixed with indigo from Lush Cosmetic ( which I wouldn't recommend save your money).I have thick Afro type hair which I layered from shoulders down to my bra strap. I have a lot of greys which look white lol.I used 100g, which was enough.The process took 3hours but my gosh the results were more than worth it. Not only did this leave my hair jet black, including my greys too. But it left my hair feeling very soft and manageable. No where near as many tangles.I will definitely be recommending this product and fully intend on buying again.

As I'm getting older so is my hair 😭. I have more white than brown. So imagine how I felt 10 years ago, that I was allergic to hair dye. Yup miserable. So i stayed dying my hair with henna, now although, this leaves your hair in great condition it colours it red, not to bad at the beginning, but now I have more white hair, so it's more ginger all over. Oh how I longed to have dark brown black hair..Recently, however, I did a little research and found out that after you henna your hair in the normal way, you can then dye it with a mixture of indigo and water and leave it in for about 2 hours.The results. 100% success... I was so happy I cried... sorry but true... This stuff is pure and did the job.If anyone is going to buy this to dye their hair, experiment with the length of time that you keep it in. I did it 2.5 hours and I have shoulder length hair, so used roughly about 100 grams of indigo.Now I only have to do my roots.
