This is where Amazon's purchase history really helps validate a product's claims. I bought this product on 9 March, 2014. There have therefore been 276 days since I ordered it, and I have used it every time I've shaved in the meantime (usually not weekends or holidays, but every other day). I reckon I've had 190 shaves out of it, and about a quarter of the bottle is left, so I'm pretty much on target for my 260 shaves out of one bottle.This stuff is great - no foam, no gel, no mess, nothing stuck in your ears - it's a small bottle that's easy to lug around. I'd never go back.Can't recommend it enough.Olly Buxton

I can't believe I only recently discovering this wonderful product. My brother in law mentioned that he uses this shaving oil when I was boring him about my 'perennial-dry-skin-after-a-shave' problem. I've tried countless shaving foams and gels but none seem to do the trick as well as this oil. The best part is that it is easy to apply, doesn't mess up my basin like shaving foam does and leaves my skin nice and conditioned after my shave (I don't tend to wash my face after a shave). Leaves a nice smell (subjective of course) and one bottle looks like it will last about 4-6 months with three shaves a week. In short, recommended!

I have been using this shaving oil for the past 2 yrs and have been very pleased with it but for the past 6 months I have noticed I have been developing a rash after shaving; I have tried experimenting with different blades and various other changes but have now come to the conclusion that I have developed a sensitivity to the oil. Since stopping the oil my skin rash has disappeared. I was hoping that I could exchange my 2 unused bottles for a "sensitive" Somersets oil. Is this possible as I would be very sad to have to give it up the brand?David Townsend
