I bought this mirror for my dressing table to apply eye make up. Not suitable, the x10 magnification is too strong OK if putting in contacts only. You have to get so close to the mirror you cannot get your hand between the mirror and face. Cost too much to return (Germany) this was a waste of my money and useless.

Good, but you have to position it carefully., 17 May 2014
The quality of the mirror is very good, but with a x10 magnification it's crucial that the mirror is fitted in exactly the right place, cos if it's not, the reflection can appear to be upside down (concave mirror surface?), or you have to be so close to it that it's not comfortable to use.Also be very careful that the sun through the window isn't shining on the mirror and reflecting the light onto anything that might catch fire, especially if it's being focussed on a shelf where you keep aerosol cans!

A good mirror on a dresser but the 10x magnifying side is not the best quality. I would have opted for less magnification but needed it to be above 7x. My previous 9x magnifying mirror was very clear but with this one I have to put it right up my face and even then it is not crystal clear.
