A product I have used so often over the years, repackaged and still as awesome as ever!, 7 Feb. 2014

I hadn't seen or used this product for many years but I was a devotee as a teen as it was affordable and I didn't have much money back then :) however, cost is not always an indication as to a products effectiveness as this is one of the cheapest body scrubs on the market and in my (and many others) opinion it is one of the best! Its longevity in a saturated market is testament to that. Now ... why do I love it?

I use this dry on the body, not wet as it says on the tub. I use a fake tan on my legs every time I bath/shower and the only way to get a perfect, natural streak-free tan is to exfoliate the skin regularly. I had been using a NY Spa treatment body scrub that costs me 36 pounds per jar (yes!) because that was the only one I have ever bought that actually does exfoliate the skin, doesn't fall off all over the place when you apply it and is designed to be used on a dry body (hello! having to clean the entire bathroom every time you use it) just like this one used to do...

This scrub has been repackaged but it still of the same good quality it has always been. Very consistent scrub which doesn't drop of the skin when you have applied it. Small granules really work and stick at your body which leaves your skin very refreshed and feeling lovely and smooth. One downside, it leaves quite a bit of mess in the bath after you have rinsed off, but actually, you can see how much skin it has cleaned, so that is ok.

Normally I'm put-off by a product that claims to be the UK's number 1 favourite. I mean, when I walk down the street in central London, I'm never blown away by how radiant everyone looks in the grey ambient smog.However, this is a really good bathroom staple. At the end of the day, all you need an exfoliator to do is remove dead skin cells. And this does that job perfectly. It's a huge, generous pot, which means that if you're in the bath you can scoop some out and use it at leisure. If you use it before shaving (and this includes beards), it can make the shave a lot closer because the razor edges can reach further down the hair shaft.My small, small criticism (and this is more personal preference) is that I'd like it to be more grainy. But this is my own obsession with trying to sandpaper my skin off - St Ives is pretty much as grainy as you get, unless you buy an at-home dermabrasion kit, but these are unwieldy to use.All in all, great product.
