The Dovo Shavette Disposable Blade Straight Razor is a versatile and affordable straight razor that is ideal for travelling and as an introductory razor for newcomers to straight razor shaving.
It is also very popular amongst barbers for trimming necks and getting that neat, crisp beard line.

As the Dovo Shavette uses disposable stainless steel double edge (DE) razor blades, this eliminates the need to buy a hone, strop and other accessories which are associated with straight razors, reducing the cost of starting straight razor shaving considerably.
The replacement blades are also more hygienic as each one can be disposed of after shaving and a clean, new one used for the next shave.

Using the compact Shavette by Dovo allows you to get used to the angle and technique required for a comfortable straight razor shave. In addition, the blade holder acts as a guard that prevents the leading corner of the blade from cutting you.

This razor comes in a protective plastic wallet and comes with three plastic blade holders. The plastic blade holders are: a clear one for standard DE blades, and two black ones that take the longer Dovo Shavette blades.

Amazing either way but seller needs to clarify model, 4 Nov. 2015

Received mine today and the product code was 201087, it also had a white, rather than red, double edge blade holder. Unsure whether this is the superior model or a cheaper type: either way it's still a bloody good shavette. It came with the White holder, a black one for full length blades and another black holder with a tapered edge for trimming. The shipped pack also included a double edged blade and a full length blade which was a nice little extra. the shavette feels very light and I tried it tonight on the full length blade holder with the provided blade. The shavette was easy to manoeuvre. It was also comfortable to grip and felt light in the fingers. It felt well balanced and, apart from being quite long in blade size and the first time using a full length blade, easy to move around the face curve and neck area. The safety edge of the black blade holder does prevent nicks. Overall a lovely shave but I'll get a better shave from my Feathers which I will try next time. Seller...

I've got a couple of shavettes and this is by far the best I've used. This is the fully stainless 201006 model, by the way (regardless of what the answer in the questions section says) and if you're looking to expand your range of shaving options then I think this would be a good choice. The blade holders are very well designed and hold the blade more firmly than in other shavettes and the razor as a whole feels comfortable in the hand. From the first day I've had very close shaves from this with little or no irritation having struggled to get on with other (cheaper) shavettes. I don't think it will ever fully replace my trusty DE but if you're interested in a shavette then I'd definitely recommend this.
