You'll see a lot of reviews here stating that this product is "just silver" rather than the chrome colour. This is not so; unless the reviewers all happened to get some kind of bad batch.

I've tried a bunch of the chrome/metallic effect polishes and the Stargazer one is by far the most chromey of them all. It is not a mirror finish but it's certainly a very eye-catching "wow, metal nails!" look. It's a headturner of a polish and by no means looks similar to a standard silver (which polishes like the Barry M metallic do).

Beware though: the first coat you put on your nails does not look metallic. It is not a one coat polish. Don't apply one coat and go "disappoint :(". Do it right: apply a clear basecoat, apply 2-3 smooth coats of the Stargazer polish, then a clear topcoat. As long as you have some ability to apply it smoothly and not dab or blotch it on (as I've seen some people do with their polish...) it will give a great chrome look.

So it is definitely not as shiny as the bottle suggests but it is a beautiful bright silver, it goes on really well and dries SO QUICKLY!You will absolutely have to put on a base coat cos every single imperfection shows up so much once this stuff is on, it dries slightly matte so i tried it with a top coat but it didn't really make a difference to be honestI've put a photo up of basecoat+one coat of this

The color is as chrome as it can be without installing hi-shine metal parts onto your body. Think that that explains it all. It's an eye-catcher and worth the money, definitely.One tip, though - if you have uneven nail surface (like I have from wearing artificial nails previously) you might want to go with some evening out base coat before you put the chrome polish on, because it might accentuate those imperfections.
