For the past few years I've been on a hunt to find GOOD products for pale skinned people that don't cost an arm and a leg.
I'm not pure white in complexion but I am pretty darn pale, light enough that even Mac studio fix powder in NC15 is orange on my skin.
On it's own this powder is a touch too white to pass as natural, there is a slightly 'undead' hue about it, however, combined with a reasonably well matched shade of foundation, it looks lovely.
Pros:
Sets foundation well and doesn't make the skin look cakey
Has a light to medium coverage (which is more than most powders do)
Can be used as a highlighter for the cheeks, nose, brow bones etc
Gives a very matte finish (some may see this as a negative, however, I like it)
Great for lightening the skin if your foundation is a little too dark
