1.Turn the battery case cover anti-clockwise and remove it.
2.Insert the battery with the positive(+) terminal in the direction of the cutting head.
3.Replace the battery case cover and turn it clockwise until locks.

This little guy can mow down more than I would have guessed, 24 Jan. 2017

After a couple of months I'm pretty happy with this trimmer.

I don't get very excited about personal grooming items, they're just a part of everyday life, but this little guy had me smiling. The status quo trimmer was working but it took a long time to roto-router out the nose hairs and I didn't even bother trying to get those beasts in my ears, it's bad enough trying to get rid of hair I can see never mind what I can't. It also uses C cells and those are just getting to expensive.

This new trimmer does such a better job, it cleans things up a lot quicker and better than the old one, that I tried it on the ear hairs and wow, it was mowing through them. I appreciate that when used in the ears it's not so noisy that it hurts. The buzz here is much quieter than the old device.

I'm not sure if this groomer is sharper or the cutter head is just made better but it does one heck of a good job and it does it quicker.

There's one thing to take note...

The best nose/ear trimmer on the market, 7 May 2017

This is the best nose/ear trimmer I have ever used.Had many in my time and this definitely comes on top.Was a little put of at first with it taking batteries, but actually they last forever.
