Pampering perfection, 28 April 2012

At the grand old age of 53, I decided to move from my trusty electric razor to the products sold to me by the Art of Shaving. This After-Shave Balm, 'unscented with vitamin c for sensitive skin', was part of the overall package. I have just finished the bottle, after months of daily use, and am mortified. The bottle itself looks great on the shelf. The pump-action top is simply perfect, delivering consistent-size drops of magic onto my fingertip. And my face feels a million dollars after it has had this massaged all over. Sadly, I don't have a million dollars otherwise I would buy this again, without hesitation. But £35, in my world at least, still makes me gasp a little. Yes, I know it will last months... And yes, my wife always lets out a little gasp as she feels the result... So if you are rich, or if you are buying a gift for someone special, don't hesitate - this is pampering perfection.

I have bought Art of Shaving Sandalwood for 3 different men over the years, this very same aftershave.It is light in consistency but not runny, and it has an earthy, musky traditional (half-pure, half Egyptian) sandalwood parfum scent. It is not overly sweet and every man that I have known who used it purchsed it later for themselves.For what I have been told, it is gentle on the skin and leaves it feeling lightly creamed, and well cared for. I guess for men that is a good thing :)

This is the best balm I have ever used. I use all the aos unscented range and it cleared my shaving rash up within 2 weeks. I will use this product for the rest of my days, Again only 2 or 3 squirts and massage into skin and leave for a minute and your face is oh so smooth. Yes it is expensive, but my skin has never felt better.
