I like the kit, 21 Oct. 2015

I like the kit, very nice to get started in the world of real shaving however it doesn't come with any blades and this miffed me a little bit because I'm at university and i had an hour trip into town just to pick up some blades to try it out. The kit looks beautiful and makes you feel more of a man just owning it, I am now covered in nicks and cuts from my trial round but the bleeding quickly stopped after using the balm. The products smell amazing too and had many comments on how good the bathroom smelled after i used them, you'll probably need a bowl for the foam and the Bluebeard's Revenge bowl is well over priced at 21 pound! The brush is pretty poor and so many bristles have fallen out already and the towel's not so soft either. I don't think i'm a massive fan of the shavette design because it seems a little risky when you're putting the blade in because the thing is a little stiff and requires a lot of force opening and closing it. Great products, rubbish razor!, 2 Nov. 2015

Simply put all the products were great except for the blade! Bought this for my husband to try as he suffers from terrible shavers rash.After many attempts to get angle of shaving right he still wasn't happy. It's awkward to use and if you try and make more than two passes over your skin (even with re-foaming) his rashes flared up terribly. It also took ages to shave so not something you could use before work.However, the products it came with were fab. The foam was great and the oils soothed his shaving rash. I ended up buying my hubby a double edge traditional safety razor and when used with the products he has a perfect shave every time with no rash.I will definitely buy these products again to use with his new razor, but wouldn't bother with the razor in this pack.

Cleverly packaged and presented but ultimately the products are very basic. The brush is very poor and if mine loses any more bristles, its getting sent back for a replacement or refund.
