Despite the information that recommends an 'almond' size portion of the product per shave, in fact that is more than enough. Can't say there is a noticeable reduction in hair regrowth but it is pleasant and easy to use. Also handy to pack for long trips as it takes little space relative to the number of shaves you get from it and the jar is sturdy.

I decided to try a different shaving product from the usual nivea range. I have little doubt that this is an excellent product, with a nice smell and probably a close shave. However, as someone with sensitive skin I quickly found by face swelling up and turning quite red. The resultant shave felt like a blow touch against my face, which was pretty nasty. Thankfully my skin recovered within a few days and Amazon were happy to refund me. I would definitely consider getting a sample from their website before you get the tub.

Didn't live up to the hype, 2 April 2014
I switched over from Geo F Trumper shaving creams to Bluebeards Revenge after hearing so many positive reviews and it being nearly half the price. Overall I'm pretty disappointed with it, as it just doesn't offer as good of a shave as other creams I've used.The scent of the cream is nice and masculine, and a small amount goes a long way, especially when using a shaving brush. The lather is rich, and you can work it up quite quickly. My only criticism,and it's a big one, is that it doesn't lubricate the skin as well as other creams I've used. I always put a layer of Geo F Trumper's Skin Food on my face before shaving to help the razor glide, and have never experienced any drag until I used this cream. It hasn't caused me to cut myself, but there is a noticeable drag when using my Merkur 38C razor.Maybe I got a bad pot of the stuff, as lots of other people really like it, but for me it's just not up to the standard I've come to expect.
