I'm still fairly new to the whole 'wet-shave enthusiast' subculture, and I'm still trying out products in my quest for the perfect shave.

As a post-shave balm, I started with

and liked it. Then I got some Geo F.Trumper Extract of Limes Skin Food and loved it.

Maybe these classy products were making me a bit snobbish or something. I didn't expect much AT ALL from a product with a skull & crossbones on the container.

But Shiver Me Timbers, Mate, this stuff is GOOD!

It has a consistency that's somewhere between a cream and a gel, and a definite scent. I don't have enough olfactory nous to describe it... certainly not (IMO) anywhere near as nice as the Crabtree & Evelyn or the Trumper Limes. But it fades fairly rapidly, and a splash of your favourite aftershave or...

I no longer have to hide my face creams!!!, 16 Nov. 2012

I bought this for my boyfriend as I was fed up of him using my face creams! He really likes it and it smells lovely. The only thing I would say is that it hasn't really minimised his hair growth but maybe he hasn't been using it long enough. A little goes a long way.

This is a really good product. My partner only started 'proper' shaving in recent times and has been experimenting with different products - this is one of the nicer ones he has found. Incidentally he also uses the shaving brush and stand from this make which does not contain badger hair which meets his rather exacting ethical standards - it is also of a really good quality.This product is used after shaving. It isn't too sticky and is easily absorbed. It only has a faint smell. It feels good on the skin - slightly cooling and soothing on the skin. This is one of those products that he now always has to hand and he believes it to be essential as part of his morning shave.Recommended.
