With the cartridge razor my face would still feel like sand paper straight after a shave, 14 Jan. 2015
I don't normally write posts, but felt that I needed to with this product. I am a man with a heavy beard growth and have been shaving every day for nearly 17 years. With the cartridge razor my face would still feel like sand paper straight after a shave. After a week of particularly bad shaves with my Mach 3 I looked for an alternative. Bought this product and I can honestly say after only a short while I absolutely love this product. The smell of the lather and aftershave balm is great, subtle and manly. The shave has given me the closest shave I have ever had with no shaving rash. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a change.

Great pack. But perhaps not for beginners., 19 Sept. 2015
Basically i think this is a great pack for the price, if you want to go back to the days of the single blade/ double edged safety razor.Everything in the pack is nice. The shaving cream and after shave balm. The lovely soft brush. And the amazing chrome safety razor with the arrrrggghh I be a pirate decal on top.And my rating is due to price and package and great as usual amazon delivery.My FYI/ Tip is altho I read about the razor not being for the beginner I chose this pack. But there are apparently razors that are a little more suited to beginners, (I believe the merkur 33c is one), and this a bit more for those who have mastered their wet shave technique some what. To get that close shave and not razor rash your face takes some practice.

This razor is a good weight and very forgiving if you are new to safety razors. I would recommend you watch @geofatboy 's videos for pre-shave prep before your first try and then you will get a perfect result.
