This pack of alligator clip hair bows was sent to me free of charge in return for an honest and unbiased review.

These ribbon bows are very cute and are excellent value. They are also very well constructed from decent materials. The bows are made of a soft petersham-type fabric that – unlike satin or silk ribbon – retain their shape and gives a nice structure. The zip locked pack contains twenty bows of self-colours and five in polka dotted pattern. I particularly liked the colours – unlike many ready-made bows that tend to be a bit garish, these come in classy shades and look expensive. Each bow measures approximately 3 1/2” (9cm) at its widest point and 2 3/4'” (7.5cm) from top to bottom and has a small alligator clip firmly attached to the underside. Although I think it would be quite difficult to separate the fabric from the clip or to open the clip itself, for safety reasons I would not recommend leaving a small child alone with one...

These are so cute and come in a great selection of colours. They're brilliant to mix and match with outfits.

They come in a handy ziploc bag to keep all the bits contained and there's plenty room in it to add some bits already owned. The bows themselves come very securely attached to alligator clips that seem very strong. Personally, I wouldn't use these on little children under two or three, the clips are just too strong and sharp. They do take quite a bit of pressure to open but if a little finger got pinched in one it would definitely end in tears. If you lose your grip on them they really do 'snap' like an alligator. Aside from that if they were pulled loose on fine hair it would be the hair coming out and not the clip as they've got a very strong grip.

Brilliant for older kids and adults though. They stay exactly where you put them and aside from looking pretty they hold everything in place without budging. They look really nice when mixed colours are...

My niece simply adores these hair clips, and likes to change them several times a day. They are all beautifully made, and of a very high quality. There are 20 pairs in the packets, mostly solid colours, some polka dot varieties, with most of them hovering around the pink side of the colour spectrum.As a good little girl she likes to share, to the dismay of her grandfather :) being a bald uncle, I like to support her kind sharing nature.The happiness they will bring to you little one is priceless. I would highly recommend these to all based on their quality, quantity, and very reasonable price.
