Fab hair in 20 minutes..., 21 Sept. 2015

No more time using traditional rollers on damp hair, and no more painful tangles with a hot brush or curling wand with these babies; you get 10 rollers in the set [4 large rollers and 6 medium sized ones]. Simply turn on the base unit, and within two minutes the rollers are fully heated and ready to go. Then its just a case of setting them in my hair, putting my makeup on, then removing the rollers and finger-combing my hair. ta-da, I'm then ready to go. After use the rollers are stored in the base (which has a lid), so my cat and dogs can't wonder along and burn their noses!!

After trying the rollers a few times I now recommend leaving the rollers in your hair for at least 15 minutes to set the curls. I love the fact this set focuses on medium and large rollers as I prefer to style my hair in loose waves and body in my hair, rather then full-on Shirley Temple curls. As there are only 10 rollers in this set I wouldn't advise paying full price for it, but as it is half price...

Bit of a waste of time., 25 Sept. 2015

Such a shame these rollers are next to useless.

I was very hopeful - I've not used heated rollers since the seventies and the ones I had then lasted for years and years! These didn't last past the first day when the metal bits inside the clips began to fall out with no way of re-attaching them. The clips are pretty useless anyway unless you can keep your head perfectly still while they go to work.

If you CAN find a way to keep the slack clips in place (elastic bands?), then they would probably work wel. They certainly got hot quickly and the pack looks excellent. I'm not sure if the amount they give you is adequate to cover a head of hair, but you can always use the same rollers twice as they only take minutes to heat up and ten minutes to keep in, so half an hour would see you use them over at least twice.

On the other hand, because of the poor workmanship and useless butterfly-type clips, mine are already heading for the dustbin.

Could Be Better, 26 Sept. 2015

Some good an bad points with this set. The two parts of the rollers can separate quite easily. Clearly not a big problem to put them back together but somewhat inconvenient when trying to use them. They heat up quickly which is good. Neat box for storing that doesn't take up much room but if you had very long hair, the view here seems to be that you would need two sets. They also have a tendency to slip out especially if you have just washed your hair.I can only pass on the views of those who tried them. Unfortunately for me, these days not as much hair on my head as I would prefer.
