Interesting release function, 24 April 2014

Initially was rather disappointed with the tourniquet as it appeared that the release function was faulty, however after practising with it I realised that the release function was not faulty but rather it had a a duel function whereby the tension can be released prior to the buckle being released meaning that it no longer pings and potentially hits the patient. Overall this is a very good product; there is a slight risk at pinching the skin as the buckle appears larger than most of the other tourniquets I have used but with practice this can be easily avoided. I would highly recommend this product to future buyers.

Does the job, however the release catch does sometimes stick and be careful to ensure that the buckle is always over clothes, as it has sucked floppier skin into it when tightening which was painful for the patient and very difficult to remove without the skin tearing! Not a bad price and I would buy it again, just be extremely careful where you put it!

Arrived before anticipated date, quick and simple to apply and comfortable when in place, release is simple and only needs one hand. Stops all those skin tears and bruising caused by old fashioned rubber tourniquets.
