I have been using this product for some time and must admit that it makes the difference to the end result. I have tried King Of Shaves pre-shave oil in the past and did not like that at all. The TrueFitt skin protector is different. You would need fairly small amount to cover your skin before shave -- say, half of that you would normally use for the shaving gel. I then use TrueFitt shaving gel -- just apply it with my palms, I do not use any shaving brush. The result is that after shave the skin feels very (and I mean very) soft. The smell has some conifer notes to it -- I personally like (but do not love) it, but everyone's taste is different. So, if you think you would be happy with the smell I definitely recommend this pre-shave skin protector.
