More useful than expected, 13 Nov. 2011

I'm 24 and have had a massive problem with blackheads ever since I can remember-my skin is really greasy which probably causes the blackheads to keep returning (the grease is visible in little pools in my pores even after about 15mins of washing my face). I am, therefore, always sceptical of products and tools that claim to be amazingly effective at removing or reducing blackheads because the standard facial scrubs/pore strips/face peels have little effect on me. So after reading many reviews and looking at videos on youtube of how this tool works, I decided to try it for myself seeing as there is mostly positive feedback.

As many reviewers have said, the tool doesn't come with instructions but I found this video of a similar tool that might give you some pointers first of all:

I wasn't quite sure about this tool in the beginning, but after using it for several weeks, it has become indispensible. In response to some of the reviews left here, a) it is dead easy to use, b) it does leave a mark but so do my fingers, c) yes, it works as well as my fingers, but why would I want to use my fingers??, and d) it is very effective on parts of the nose where one's fingers can't quite do the job. In short, I recommend this product to anyone who wishes to seriously cleanse their face.

I used to rely on fingernails to squeeze and scratch out blackheads, but am now a true convert after using this tool for the last 6 months. All you need is a product that does the required job, and this tool does it. Far less pressure is required (compared to using fingernails) and the recovery time for your skin is much quicker as a result, i.e. much less bruising. As some other reviewers have mentioned, use this tool as and when required after you have had a hot bath/shower so your pores are open and the process is therefore invariably easier.
